newcola15_hdr_1200pxLos Angeles isn’t just having a tech boom, it’s having an adtech boom. In 2014 alone, LA saw new adtech companies launch at a rate 188% higher than 2013. Even ad:tech, an adtech industry conference, has weighed in on the city’s influence. They’ve moved their west coast event from San Francisco to Los Angeles.

Whether it’s Silicon Beach or Silicon Valley South, LA’s adtech scene benefits from the city’s expansive ecosystem. New campuses from Google, Youtube, Facebook, and Yahoo suggest Los Angeles has arrived as a tech capital. The multi-layered, multi-neighborhood reach might be especially good for the city’s ad tech companies as the industry often requires deep collaborations.

LA-based Rubicon Project founder Frank Addante has long been been advocating for LA tech, and he’s certainly feeling good about what’s happening in the city. Addante’s company debuted on the public markets last year.
